While I agree with many of your points you eventually lead back to using Starkers as, essentially, a framework.

That said there is something to be gained from not completely re-inventing the wheel with each project and fortunately from Starkers to Genesis and others there are plenty of frameworks out there to give anyone the basis they need to build off of.

Ryan - I just checked a site running this fix and the current stable WP build (3.1.3) and can verify that it's still working. I don't have any sites running the 3.2 beta yet, though.

LOL - you're a hoot, Diana. :)

In all fairness, your situation was quite a bit different. When we customize a Wicked Plum shop template, we don't go through the normal research/sketch/brainstorm/sketch/etc process that we do when we do a from-scratch custom piece. It's, well, apples to plums. :)

Very well said! I will print it out 8^)

Ah, man. I think I broke every rule in this list. {except for the "just ask" part, lol}

Could we just use that as a testament to how awesome you are?
Eh, I mean how skilled you are at interpreting your clients needs and transforming them into concrete and workable solutions that please the client AND the website's visitors!

And how glad I am to have changed the back ground color on my site, because I believe the content pops now, where before the dark purple, while pretty, was dragging everything down into darkness....

thanks guys!

I did this and it still results in a 404.
when i click new, or manage the url points to http://mysite.com/wp-admin/page-new.php?custom-write-panel-id=4

Not sure if its a brand new bug with the 3.2 upgrade or what, but it bums me out.

Great resource! Thanks for sharing. You're right; being able to compare fonts without switching back and forth is a very nice feature.

So glad you like! My only complaint is that I want a tool that will preview fonts that aren't installed, but are in a specific folder, yanno? 'Cos I have SO MANY FONTS.

Oh, you're running Linux, right? Check out Fonty Python for an offline version of the same thing.

Ugh. Just fell into this trap today. I don't know why I feel the need to respond ASAP to everything! Fortunately, I didn't have any auto correct problems (although the lawyer text made me laugh out loud). Thanks for the reminder that I'm not an OB/GYN!
